MISSION STATEMENT

GAS was created to fill and fuel a communication vacuum left in the Greek American sports community with the closing of major Greek newspapers that served as the vital voices of our heritage in America. With urging from throughout our community, our team created a website and vehicle for all Greek American sports fans to follow the careers of current-day “Golden Greeks” at home and abroad, to inspire our youth to follow in their footsteps and to come together to value and encourage every aspiring young Greek athlete. 

The early Greek Immigrants knew and understood the importance of sport. Our vision is to unite, challenge, inspire, and bring Arete (excellence) through the powerful impact of sport to our community. Everyone is a stakeholder when it comes to keeping our rich Hellenic heritage alive.
